QUELAFERT COBRE
Copper EDTA chelated
DESCRIPTION:
Copper EDTA chelate, presented in soluble microgranules form, indicated for the prevention and correction of copper deficiencies in woody or herbaceous crops.
Copper acts as a catalyst in numerous physiological processes of the plant:
It is part of numerous proteins.
It is present in several phases of the photosynthesis process.
It promotes the use of nitrogen and protein synthesis.
The copper is a low mobility element, staying fixed to the soil, this fixation increases in organic materials rich soils or with strong contribution of phosphates. In addition, soils with excess of lime or the increase of the pH reduce his assimilation for the plant.
The deficiencies in this element become visible first in the young tissues, due to his scanty mobility. The symptoms are: whitish or pale yellowish discoloration of leaf tips, lack of turgidity and even necrosis. The older leaves present dry tips. All this translates into a decrease in the quality of production.
PH stability range: 4-9.
